A CHRIST-CENTERED CHURCH WITH YOU IN MIND
How to Become a ChristianWhat do you understand it takes for a person to become a Christian?
I would like to share with you how the Bible answers that question.
Many people think that because they are good moral individuals that God will allow them into heaven; however, the Bible makes it clear that this is not the case.
The Bible says no matter how good we may think we are, we are still sinners in God’s eyes.
“There is none righteous, no not one.” Romans 3:10
Again, the Bible makes it clear that we are all sinners.
This presents us we a very important question – What are the consequences of our sins?
The Bible tells us that our sins condemn us.
“For the wages of sin is death.” Romans 6:23
The wages of sin is spending eternity without God and without heaven.
Does this mean we have no hope? No! For God in His great love for us made it possible for each of us to receive forgiveness of our sins.
The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
The price that must be paid in order for us to be forgiven of our sins was paid by Jesus Christ, God’s Son.
Jesus said, “Except you repent, you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3
To repent means to turn away from our sins and ourselves, turn to Jesus Christ alone, and ask Him to forgive us of our sins.
The Bible says, “Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, and was buried, and rose again the third day, according to the Scriptures.” I Corinthians 15:3-4
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
Would you like to become a Christian, receive forgiveness of your sins, take Jesus as your Savior and Lord, and have heaven for your home?
If that is your heart's desire, than pray this prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and that God raised You from the dead. I now repent, asking You to forgive me of my sins, come into my heart, and save me right now. Thank you for saving my soul. Amen.
If you prayed this prayer and meant it, then upon the authority of the God’s Word, the Bible you are saved.
If you prayed this prayer and you need any further help please email me at crom323@yahoo.com.
